Trout Fishing Rules - Visiting Angles
- 1. Fly Only
- 2. Visiting anglers only have access to Beat 1, right bank only.
- 3. All applicants should declare any convictions for poaching, illegal fishing, or assault on Bailiffs (official or not) when they apply for a permit.
- 4. All anglers shall have an EA licence prior to fishing.
- 5. Due consideration must be given to other anglers if fishing a particular pool or run. Anglers fishing a pool or run for a period of 20 minutes or more must give way to others if requested.
- 6. If following an angler downstream, no fishing within 30 metres unless given assent.
- 7. In other circumstances or places, anglers must start fishing at least 75 metres in front of an angler fishing, unless given assent.
- 8. An angler sitting on the bank, changing tackle, etc., is not deemed to be fishing.
- 9. Visitors are allowed to take 2 fish per visit.
- 10. Visitors are requested to de-barb their hooks after taking their limit.
- 11. Any Salmon or Sea Trout caught must be returned carefully to the river.
- 12. All visitors must give way to salmon anglers when requested.
- 13. Your day permit must be shown when requested by the club bailiffs or a full member of The Bangor-on-Dee Salmon Anglers Association.
- 14. Any visitor found to be breaking the rules will be expelled from the association waters and other clubs will be informed.
