Friday 31st January 2014

George Wallace

The last day of January. We had a nice, dry day yesterday but now, 1400hrs on Friday, it's been raining for the last four hours. The river has been falling since yesterday but that is not likely to continue - and the land is far too wet to walk comfortably and safely, even if the river were fishable. The weather forecast is truly horrid, so it looks like a good sort of afternoon to light the fire and sample a malt or two from my Christmas stock. CHEERS! cold

While the weather is like this, it's nice to remember last Summer and look forward to the next. The photo, taken by Karl Humphries, reminds us what a tagged sea-trout looks like. I am not sure if we are supposed to report the capture to the EA or NRW but I will find out and post a message.
