George Wallace

Sunday 8th September:

The forecast for North Wales was for heavy rain with a risk of flooding but we haven't actually had enough rain to do more than damp the grass and make it smell nice! The river level is still below normal, so they obviously didn't get much rain up in the hills, either.

For the next few days we have rising barometric pressure, which is supposed to be good for fishing, and the alternating sunshine, cloud and occasional passing showers should give us a chance of fish. Salmon are still few and far between but there are plenty of other fish in the river, with sea-trout, brown trout and grayling providing good, and sometimes exceptional, sport. But you won't catch anything while you are sat there reading this!
