Groves Farm is the most recent addition to our portfolio of waters. It is also the furthest upstream of all our beats. With an abundance of beautiful Brown Trout and Grayling plus a good chance of a Salmon, it really is a special fishery.
Most of the beat can be waded comfortably with the river at or close to summer level. There are a number of enticing pools separated by shallow riffles with plenty of entry and exit points.
Although we have the fishing rights for both banks, fishing is done almost exclusively from the left bank. This brings the deeper water which flows predominantly along the right bank into comfortable casting distance.
Because there are restrictions on both the number of rods available and parking space, this is the only BODSA beat where members are required to book in advance of fishing via the online system in the members' area of our website.
